That escalated quickly…

Just a note that the next page might not be out for a while. I’m not at home right now, and therefore, am away from my drawing things. I’ll make some stuff though. don’t worry.

Another note – this is one I’ve been thinking about for a while – I think I’m going to retire the blog from my website. I feel like the content I put up here would receive better visibility on social media, and since I’ve customed the blog out of any easy cross-posting service’s scope I think I’ll let it go to pasture and just focus on putting stuff on tumblr. I’m not going to delete it, everything that is currently on the blog will remain there, but I won’t be posting new content.

Metalsnail.net will be a showcase for completed projects, made in beautiful, fast-loading, static HTML5. Tumblr and Twitter will be where I post my page-by-page updates, my comic spotlights, my game design progress reports, etc.

Another note, IT’S MOTHER’S DAY!!! My mom is in Africa, but maybe your mom isn’t and so here are some webcomics she might like. If she’s basically my mom. Because I found some comics my mom would like.

I had to do some serious digging… It’s hard to find slice-of-life comics that aren’t about college kids. Like seriously, try. I’ll wait.

See!? I told you so. And if you look up “Mom webcomics” you get this.

Yeah.

Anyway, here’s what I’ve come up with. Your mom might hate these. You may be a mom who is really into, like erotic scifi comics, and therefore hates these. I don’t want to paint all moms into a particular mom-corner, but I only have one of them for reference.

CAZ is only a couple months old, so I can’t say much about it except that it looks like For Better or For Worse as a 70s underground comic. But, not, like obscene 70s underground comics. And so far no Farleys have died, so that’s another point in CAZ’s favor.

It’s a Shore Thing is about a couple who run a BnB, and their daughter. So there’s some Faulty Towers stuff that goes on. Also some Calvin and Hobbes stuff. Also, you might find out how carnival games are rigged.

Faux Pas is a comic I used to read forever ago about the residents at an animal casting agency, specifically a neurotic fox named Randy, and his feral girlfriend Cindy. It gets a bit soap opera-y with some love triangles and drama, but all fairly innocent.
